“As an experienced professional I will help you to find ways of coping, and together we will work towards your agreed goals”
Asking for help can be one of the most difficult things we ever need to do.
The decision to see a therapist can often feel like a challenging but very important first step.
I provide a safe and supportive environment, offering a deep level of warmth and compassion, whilst listening and gaining a real understanding of each individual I work with. Working together to explore your experiences, struggles and difficulties is a key part of the journey to achieving your specific goals and a desired outcome.
As a Humanistic Integrative therapist, I draw upon many different therapeutic approaches to help you understand your feelings and emotions. The length of time you give to your therapy is entirely dependent on your individual requirements.
Through therapeutic relationships, we will work to achieve healing, change and growth, bringing your chosen goals to fruition.
In person therapy is based at my counselling room in North Finchley, North London which is easily reached via public transport with local parking available.
You will be offered a therapy session at an agreed regular time each week and this slot will be held for you for the period of time we are working together.
You might prefer online therapy if you feel anxious about face-to-face sessions, have mobility issues, are household, or if it better suits your schedule.
For online therapy, you’ll need a private, quiet space and a reliable internet connection. I use Zoom and will send you an access link before your session.
You may decide that telephone therapy suits you better and for this you will need a private space where you will not be interrupted or overheard.
You will have the contact number to call for your session at the agreed time.
Simply you and your therapist walking and talking, rather than meeting in a counselling room or online.
It is not exercise but provides both physical and psychological benefits from engaging in traditional talking therapies whilst walking in green surroundings.
Upon your initial contact, we will schedule a brief telephone session to discuss the support you require. This conversation helps us understand your needs and allows us to arrange your first appointment, which will be an in-depth assessment session lasting 50 minutes.
The assessment session is an opportunity to delve into your concerns and needs. During this time, we will explore whether counselling could be beneficial for you. It also provides a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process.
If you decide to proceed after your initial appointment, I will provide you with a counselling contract outlining the terms and conditions of our work together. We will then arrange a regular weekly session time that suits you, ensuring a consistent and supportive environment.
